| Keith A. Mihaly, O.D. |
Dr. Mihaly grew up in Glenview where he attended Glenbrook South High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois. He then attended the Illinois College of Optometry and graduated Cum Laude with his Doctor of Optometry degree. |

In February of 1989, Dr. Mihaly opened Alan Optical in Buffalo Grove. In May of 2008 he expanded the practice to its' new and current location in order to better serve his patients. |
Dr. Mihaly provides comprehensive family eye care with special interest in difficult to fit contact lens patients. He diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system. He provides pre and post-operative care for LASIK and cataract patients. |
Dr. Mihaly is an executive board member of both United Eye Care Providers and The Laser Network. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and the Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce. |
| Lisa M. Kowar, O.D. |

Dr. Kowar earned her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) and her Bachelor of Science in Visual Science from the Illinois College of Optometry as well as a Bachelor of Science in biology from Loyola University. |

She is an active member of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association and Optometric Extension Program.
As a practitioner with over twenty years of experience, Dr. Kowar has focused on caring for the visual and eye health needs of patients at all stages of life. |
In addition to providing comprehensive eye health evaluations, she is also involved in pre and post-operative care for patients with cataracts and refractive surgery (LASIK) procedures.

| Other areas of her expertise include applying the latest contact lens technologies, specialty contact lens fittings and visual rehabilitation. Patients benefit from Dr. Kowar’s multidisciplinary approach to solving vision related processing issues. |

| Gabriele (Gabe) |
| Gabe has been in the optical industry for over 30 years. She has a B.S. from Loyola University and an M.B.A. from Roosevelt University. Gabe has been with Alan Optical for more than 10 years. She is well versed in all aspects of opticianry and specializes in difficult prescriptions. She runs our in-office lens fabrication lab and handles the purchasing of our eyeglass frame inventory. |
| Rhonda |
| Rhonda, ABOC, FNAO is a dispensing optician with over 20 years of experience in the optical field. She is a certified optician of the American Board of Opticianry as well as a fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry. She has been a part of the Alan Optical team since 2005. |
| Aleksandra (Alex) |
| Alex has been an optician since 2000, and has a degree as a medical assistant. She has been a part of Alan Optical since 2007. Her specialty is helping patients select their eyewear and assisting the doctors. She also helps in our in-office lens fabrication lab. Alex is fluent in Polish. |
| Melanie |
| Prior to coming to Alan Optical, Melanie received her degree in Training and Development, and worked in the telecommunications industry as a customer service and training manager. She has been employed at Alan Optical since 2004, handling a variety of administrative and billing duties as well as assisting the doctors as a technician. |
| Lori |
| Lori has been with Alan Optical since it's opening in 1989. Her previous career was a Human Resources Manager for several large corporations in the chicagoland area. She provides administrative and accounting support for our practice. |
